Check out this beautiful distance strike from Vladlen Yurchenko

Bayer Leverkusen hosted Monaco in a dead rubber match, which meant Leverkusen midfielder Vladlen Yurchenko got the chance to make his first appearance of the season following some pretty bad injury luck. He signed for Leverkusen in 2014, but has only made a handful of appearances for the Germans after tearing knee ligaments and then breaking a bone in his leg.

He's finally back from injury, though, and with a golden opportunity to impress under no real pressure, he made the most of it.

He collected the ball on the left side of the pitch, cut inside as the Monaco defenders failed to step up to him, and unleashed a perfect strike into the upper corner, dinking beautifully off the underside of the crossbar.

It doesn't really matter in the grand scheme of things, as both Monaco and Leverkusen are already through to the next round of Champions League, but it's a huge moment for the 22-year-old Ukrainian. It's his first ever goal in Europe for the club, and only his second ever in a Leverkusen shirt.

That's the way to come back from injury.
