Chelsea overcame a two-goal deficit to beat Leicester City and reach the Fourth Round of the EFL Cup. Here is the verdict on a thrilling game of football.

Chelsea showed great character as they overturned a 2-0 deficit to knock Leicester City out of the EFL Cup. It was a performance that highlighted the crippling flaws in the Blues, but one that will also raise spirits. Here is the verdict from The Pride Of London staff.

Travis Tyler: An experimental match that showcased more good than bad. Antonio Conte will have some tough decisions to make in the run up to the Arsenal fixture, but at the very least Chelsea have momentum again.

Barrett Rouen: Glad to see Cesc Fabregas taking Conte’s call for higher work rate on the chin and improving as he should be. There are obvious weak spots but that Chelsea spirit does appear to be rising again.

Scott Brant: Chelsea show heart and passion. It was an amazing effort to come back from two down. A much needed win after a disappointing draw and loss over the last two matches.

More from The Pride of London

Andre Floyd: Azpilicueta is solid on the left but downright dangerous on the right; that switch needs to become permanent – LOOKIN’ AT YOU ALONSO. Though Batshuayi and Costa only got 13 minutes together, the two-striker formation resulted in very few chances for attacking players and required goals from defenders.

Khaled Abdallah: Chelsea are just not very good this season but at least they fight to the end and that’s worth a great deal. They could have given up after going two down but kept on pushing and were rewarded for their #passion.

Ejoh Celestine: 4-2-4 is risky against against teams that choke the midfield‎ and Matic, Cahill and Ivanovic need to be dropped to the bench.

Ajitesh Rasgotra: What appeared to be heading for complete disaster was turned around, driven by a refreshed attitude. Antonio Conte has a lot to do, but he seems to have fixed the mental side of affairs already.
