Chelsea scored with a one-timed backheel assist and it was flipping beautiful
On rare occasions, an assist on a goal can be more mouthwatering than the actual goal itself. This flick from Chelsea's Nathaniel Chalobah warrants that designation.
As far as one-twos go, that's top-class. Moses did well to follow up his run and cooly slot home, but that assist. To backheel a rifled pass with your first touch and perfectly settle it in the path of your teammate? Go ahead and kiss your fingers, Chalobah. The fun didn't stop there, either, as Moses literally flipped out as he celebrated.
The duo will be more than pleased with their performances, especially given their struggles to break through at Chelsea over the years. Both Moses, 25, and Chalobah, 21, have been foot soldiers in Chelsea's so-called "loan army," leaving Stamford Bridge to find playing time and develop at various clubs across England and Europe.
New Chelsea manager Antonio Conte decided to keep Moses and Chalobah in-house this time around. Moses has been called upon off the bench regularly for the Blues, and Saturday's 3-0 win against Leicester marked Chalobah's second appearance for Chelsea. They might not be fixtures in the starting XI quite yet, but so far it looks like Conte made the right decision to keep them rather than loan them out.
