Chicharito diagnosed with small muscle tear for Bayer Leverkusen
Bayer Leverkusen has announced that Javier "Chicharito" Hernandez will miss Saturday's Bundesliga match against Darmstadt match with a muscle tear.
Hernandez scored from the penalty spot in the 22nd minute of Leverkusen's DFB-Pokal loss to Werder Bremen on Tuesday, but had to be removed with the injury in the second half of the match. Bremen would go on to score three unanswered goals to advance to the semifinal with a 3-1 win.
Leverkusen did not specify if the Mexico international would miss any time beyond Saturday's match with what the club called a "small tear in the left gluteal muscle."
