Chicharito scored twice to stay red hot after lengthy goal drought

You can forget about Javier "Chicharito" Hernandez's long dry spell. After going goalless in 16 games in all competitions, he scored his fourth goal in three matches with Bayer Leverkusen. How he managed to double Bayer's lead against Augsburg was quintessential Chicharito.

A true poacher, it was a typical goal for the Mexican. Chicharito camped out inside Augburg's danger area, lurking around as the hosts tried in vain to clear the ball. A nice interchange of play between Chicharito, Lars Bender and Karim Bellarabi -- who scored the opener -- set up the attempt. After a series of passes, Chicharito took the ball with the inside of his left foot, hesitated to put Marwin Hitz on his keister and then boom. Back of the net.

And then he scored again.

Chicharito's long goal drought came to an end when he broke his duck against Gladbach on Jan. 28th. He then bagged a brace vs. Hamburg on Feb. 11th to keep rolling. With a goal already against Ausburg, the Little Pea could be looking for more.

He's back!
