Claudio Ranieri might miss Leicester clinching the Premier League title

Leicester City could be crowned Premier League champions on Monday. All they need is Tottenham Hotspur to drop points - a loss or draw will do - and the Foxes will clinch the most imporbable title in the history of the league.

Naturally, when Spurs take to the pitch, all of Leicester will be watching. Well, manager Claudio Ranieri excluded. The Italian will be on a plane and won't be able to see if his team wins the title or not.

"I'd like to watch the match, but I think I am on the flight back from Italy and then it is difficult for me to watch the match," Ranieri told NBC on Sunday, "Maybe when I land, I know the result.

"Because now I go back in Italy and tomorrow, 7 o'clock I come back and then I don't watch the match."

Ranieri goes back to Italy often to spend time with his family, but this one is special. He's having lunch with his 96-year-old mom. Awww!

One would think that with the Premier League title on the line, Ranieri might change his flight to tune in and see if his Foxes have been crowned the best team in the world's biggest league. But apparently not.

Maybe that's because he expects Spurs to win?

"Three matches ago I said 'in my mind, Tottenham will win all the matches.'"

Seeing as Tottenham drew last week, Ranieri has already been proven wrong. And Spurs haven't won at Chelsea since 1990, so there is plenty of reason for Ranieri to tune in. But he won't.

Hopefully the pilot can help out with some score updates. And make sure there's some champagne on board.
