Club Brugge extend warm welcome to Leicester City ahead of Champions League clash
Leicester City are making their Champions League debut on Wednesday, and it certainly looks like they couldn't have drawn a better place to start their new chapter. Leicester's opponents, Club Brugge, welcomed the Foxes and manager Claudio Ranieri with a thoughtful video on Monday.
"You have the rain, we have the sun," (and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, apparently!) the video says, dispelling all the hearsay Colin Farrell spouted in the 2008 flick "In Bruge." The Belgian city and club have opened their arms to welcome their opponents, and will probably be more than happy to show off the city's many alcoves, or nooks and crannies.
Wednesday's tilt is a true clash of champions, with Club Brugge and Leicester the reigning title-holders of the Belgian and English top-flights, respectively.
"Together, we will turn Wednesday night into the best party night ever," the video continues. It sounds like a can't-miss event! Time to look up tickets to Brugge. There's still enough time to grab a flight.
