Orlando City SC striker, Cyle Larin, is the next big star to come from Major League Soccer and he could soon be making a move to Europe.
Orlando City SC and Major League Soccer have found a diamond in the rough with Cyle Larin. The Canadian striker is the next big star to come from MLS but his time stateside could soon be coming to an end. It is only a matter of time until he makes the move to Europe to a bigger league and a bigger club.
In only two professional seasons, Larin has already become one of the best strikers and most promising players in MLS today. In his rookie year, Cyle set the league’s all-time rookie scoring record with 17 goals in 27 games. He followed last season up with yet another productive year in 2016 as he has recorded 14 goals and three assists in 28 games.
OCSC drafted Larin with the number one pick in the 2015 super draft and his play has helped build up the Florida based club in Major League Soccer. The Canada international has scored five goals in 19 appearances for his national team (Wikipedia.com). He has producing for both club and country and bigger teams in bigger leagues have taken notice of the promising prospect.

Highest Rated Youngster in MLS
Major League Soccer recently released their 24 under 24 which ranks the top 24 players in the league who are under 24 years old. Larin came in as the highest ranked youngster at the number one spot. This speaks volumes with the amount of potential that surrounds Cyle going forward.
The 21-year old, 6’2 striker has the size and pace to have a successful career in the future. He has developed his game alongside Kaka in Orlando. Lauren’s potential, skill, and talent makes him the next big star to come from Major League Soccer.
Multiple European Clubs Interested
Larin’s outstanding play isn’t going unnoticed around the footballing world. According to MLS Transfers, over 10+ clubs from around the globe have inquired and are interested in the Orlando City SC striker in the past 12 months. Some of the teams interested in Cyle include Lazio, Molde, Sporting Lisbon, Genk, Grenada, and Benfica.
These are some of the biggest clubs from multiple different leagues from around the Europe. MLS Transfers also reported that there’s a $10 million price tag on Larin. That would make him the most expensive player to be purchased from an MLS club in league history toping the $8 million that Villarreal paid the New York Red Bulls for Jozy Altidore back in 2008.

There is no questioning Cyle Larin’s production for Orlando City SC during his first two professional seasons. Many may speculate if he could do the same own other leagues but it seems as if the star forward is as good as gone come January when the winter transfer window opens up. It would be great for MLS if Larin makes a move to Europe and continues to produce at a high level. It would show that the league has talented players and youngsters who can play with some of the best teams in the world.
