DeAndre Yedlin is Premier League Quality says Jurgen Klinsmann
The United States Men’s National Team (USMNT) isn’t in the greatest era of their existence. But their manager, Jurgen Klinsmann, feels that DeAndre Yedlin is Premier League quality.
Newcastle United signed DeAndre Yedlin from Tottenham Hotspur in a move that seemed surprising to some. While on loan to Sunderland, DeAndre Yedlin proved that he has what it takes to succeed at the Premier League level.
Jurgen Klinsmann feels the same way. Sunderland was unwilling to pay the £5m to get Tottenham to agree to the sale but Newcastle saw the potential in the young right-back.

Speaking to ESPN FC on Yedlin needing to grow:
“But he’s grinding it through, he continues to mature and from a club point of view, it’s totally fine. But it will be a different style of play. It will be different what he sees there and how he experiences it. Yeah, it will be a big growing year for him.”
Klinsmann understands that Newcastle United is a great place for Yedlin to be right now. If Newcastle United’s only goal was to not get relegated to League One, then there would be a problem. But with Rafa Benitez managing the club, and pushing the players to their very best, it adds something. Yedlin is more likely to grow because of this situation, rather than being comfortable in the Premier League.

Yedlin, 23, was a star for the Seattle Sounders. Upon making his move to Tottenham, he followed in the footsteps of Clint Dempsey. Dempsey got his Premier League start at Fulham before moving to Tottenham.
Yedlin may not be as big of a potential superstar like Christian Pulisic (representing Hershey from my state of PA) but he’s certainly one of the best defenders donning a USA shirt right now. And while it’s certainly a year for growing for DeAndre Yedlin, I have complete faith that by next year, we’ll all be praising Yedlin’s name.
