Donovan, Arena hired as Fox CONCACAF Gold Cup analysts
NEW YORK (AP) — Former U.S. and LA Galaxy star Landon Donovan will be a studio analyst for Fox's coverage of the CONCACAF Gold Cup along with his national team and club coach Bruce Arena.
Donovan also worked for Fox during the 2016 Copa America and the 2017 Gold Cup.
Fox said Friday that Cobi Jones and Maurice Edu, former Donovan's teammates, will be studio analysts, along with Fernando Fiore.
Fox is broadcasting both the Gold Cup from June 15 to July 7 and the Women's World Cup from June 7 to July 7. Kate Abdo will host a nightly wrap-up show of both tournaments from the network's Los Angeles studio.
John Strong and former U.S. midfielder Stu Holden will be the lead broadcast team for the Gold Cup after working as Fox's primary team for last year's men's World Cup.
Fox's coverage also includes former players Warren Barton of England and Mariano Trujillo of Mexico along with Mark Followill, Jorge Perez Navarro and Joe Machnik.
