Don't rule Arsenal out of title race, says Spurs keeper Lloris

Hugo Lloris refuses to rule Arsenal out of the title race just yet despite the Gunners sitting 11 points behind league leaders Leicester City.

The Tottenham goalkeeper, who captained France to a 4-2 win over Ukraine on Tuesday evening, returns to club duty this weekend as Spurs visit Liverpool looking to close the five-point gap between themselves and Leicester.

Arsenal are a further six points behind Spurs, albeit with a game in hand, and Lloris says Spurs' north London rivals must not be discounted.

"We can talk a bit about Arsenal as well," Lloris told Sky Sports News HQ. "They are behind us but have played one less game so I think the key is to be focused on ourselves, don't think about the other teams."

After the trip to Anfield, Spurs host Manchester United in what look to be two pivotal fixtures to Spurs' hopes of winning a first league title since 1961.

"We have two tough games ahead with Liverpool away and Manchester United at home and maybe we will see a bit more after those games," added Lloris.

"In football anything is possible so we just need to play games and enjoy it with our fans."
