Enner Valencia Set To Sign For Swansea?
Despite having an awful start to the season, it seems some clubs are still interested in Enner Valencia. West Ham are keen to sell the Ecuadorian and there maybe some activity on Deadline Day. Swansea seem the most likely party at the moment.
Swansea’s Point Of View
Swansea have looked poor so far this season, especially going forward. With the sale of Andre Ayew to us they lost their most dangerous winger, and the perfect counterpart to Sigurdsson’s clever passing play and set piece danger.
As such they’re looking to correct this with the addition of Valencia. When he’s at his best he is quick and can get through the middle or down the outside of defences. If given some freedom in the attacking third he has the potential to replicate what Ayew did.
In this league it’s hard to buy anyone with experience for less than £15m however, but that’s what Valencia represents. He has a great international goalscoring record and would be available for around £12m.

West Ham’s POV
All I can say for the Hammers is they want Valencia gone. If you’ve watched any matches so far he has been nothing short of abysmal. He’s missed easy chances and not even looked close to scoring most of them. He is a confidence player and it seems as though has none in East London right now.
His decision making is terribly slow, and I’ve lost count of the amount of times he lost control of the ball under the mildest pressure. I had high hopes when he joined but I just don’t seem him as a Premier League player any more.
If the Hammers can recoup anything close to what they paid for him they will view it as a success.
Rumour Rating: B+
Maybe ‘m being overly optimistic because I want it to happen, but I can see it going through. Swansea are after the type of player he can be, and maybe Valencia will regain his confidence and start to progress again? There’s certainly no point keeping him in East London.
