Barcelona manager Luis Enrique hailed his side's passion after they came from a goal down to beat Atletico Madrid 2-1 in the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final at the Nou Camp.

Luis Suarez scored twice to cancel out Fernando Torres' opener after the Spanish striker had been sent off just before the break for two bookable offenses.

And Enrique was full of praise for his side's attitude on what was a difficult night for the reigning European champions.

"First, let me just say we have to look at the fact we were playing against Atlético Madrid," Enrique said. "They're a very well organized team from a defensive standpoint.

"With this attitude and these players we will go to the end of the world. I saw the players with passion, but they also used their heads and were under control."

Looking ahead to the second leg at the Vicente Calderon in eight days time, Enrique says there is room for his improvement from his side, but he is backing them for victory.

"We have room for improvement and the match at the Calderón will be a nice one," Enrique added. "We enjoy challenges. It will be a special game. We have to win at the Calderón. If there's any team that can do it, it's us."

"[But] the game we're interested in now is the one against Real Sociedad [in La Liga]."

Enrique was also delighted to welcome back midfielder Rafinha as he made his return to first-team action for the first time since September.

The 23-year-old played the final 27 minutes as Barcelona completed the turnaround at the Nou Camp.

"Besides the victory, the joy of the evening is the return of Rafinha," Enrique added. "He is a different player, special."
