Loan Players
Brendan Galloway, West Brom – Galloway started at left-back for West Brom in a 0-0 draw against Middlesborough in the Premier League where he played a full 90 minutes. Galloway probably had the best chance of the first half after doing well to surge forward, but he fired his shot right at keeper Brad Guzan.
Luke Garbutt, Wigan Athletic – Garbutt started at left-wing-back in a 0-1 loss against QPR. Garbutt played 81 minutes until he was subbed off as Wigan changed formation to go more attacking. Overall, the Wigan defense did well, the only goal they conceded came off a botched clearance from a free kick.
Russel Griffiths, Cheltenham Town – Griffiths started in goal in a 2-0 win vs Crewe where he did very well to keep a clean sheet in the League Two match. He started again in EFL Trophy match against Blackpool, but struggled as the Cheltenham defense conceded two goals in a 1-2 loss.
Conor Grant, Ipswich Town – Grant did not feature in a 1-0 win vs Preston North End as he recently joined from Everton on a season-long loan.
Shani Tarashaj, Frankfurt – Tarashaj was loaned out to Frankfurt in the Bundesliga until the end of the season today.
Under-23s
The Everton u23s beat Bolton Wanders in the group stage of the EFL Cup 2-0. Midfielder Callum Dyson and striker Conor McAleny scored to hand Everton the three points they deserved after such an impressive showing. The Everton u23s also managed to beat the Derby County u23s in league play 2-0 with a brace by Harry Charsley.
