Fans of Red Bulls, NYCFC clash before Hudson River derby
New York Red Bulls' 2-0 victory over rivals New York City FC was overshadowed as supporters from both sides of the city clashed before kick off on Sunday.
The incident happened when fans of the newly-formed MLS side New York City and the more established Red Bulls met outside a pub ahead of the Hudson River derby.
Rob Harris, a UK-based sports reporter for AP, managed to capture the moment rival supporters were seen hurling bags of rubbish and sandwich boards at each other before chants of "who are ya?" can be heard.
Harris also confirmed that the brawl was all over very quickly once the Police arrived, he tweeted: "Was outside a bar about 1 mile from Red Bulls Arena - and was all over in a couple of minutes. No running battles through the streets."
