Ferocious gust of wind assists on ridiculous goal in FA Cup match
The FA Cup is the world’s oldest club competition and beloved all over for its memorable upsets, incredible goals, and perhaps most of all, its magic.
Magic like the kind we saw in a preliminary round match between non-league sides Thamesmead Town and Guernsey over the weekend.
With Thamesmead already up 1-0 at the club from the English Channel island, this long-range blast was heading well out towards the sea before the most incredible of divine interventions:
Man, that really blows for the goalkeeper.
Unfortunately for the visitors, Guernsey fought their way back in the second half and salvaged a 2-2 draw, forcing a replay to be held on Tuesday.
Both teams will probably want to keep a close eye on the weather report for that one.
