Gareth Bale is the best in the world, claims Harry Redknapp
Former Tottenham Hotspur manager Harry Redknapp has crowned Gareth Bale as the best player in the world. I’m guessing Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo left this planet because there is no comparison whatsoever.
The Welshman played under Harry Redknapp from 2008-2012 at White Hart Lane and have seen his evolution from a frail, streaky left-back to UEFA nominee for Best Player in Europe.
“I just think he changed,” Redknapp said. “He grew up, he got stronger. He used to get a little knock in training and every day he’d limp off.
“He was still only a kid. But he wasn’t a streetwise kid who had come from a really tough background round here [in east London]. He’d come from a lovely background. He just got tougher mentally.
“He has changed and grown into that. It’s like lots of people. You see them and people say: ‘Well he was very quiet as a player, I didn’t think he’d make a great coach’. People change as they go on and Gareth changed. He became such an important player.
Gareth Bale is a wonderful player and personality to have in a dressing room, but the former Spur isn’t on par with Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi. Both players have dominated European football for the past decade, it’s mind-boggling anyone would put themselves on their level.
Just last week Arsenal winger Alexis Sanchez made a laughable comment about being on the same level as Ronaldo and Messi.

The Chilean international was quoted saying: “I have reached a level where I can compete with great players. I do not feel inferior to anybody.
“I liken [my qualities] to Messi and Ronaldo. I have the same abilities as them,” per Spanish daily newspaper Sport.
If he was as good as he claims to be, then why isn’t he with Barcelona still?
In Harry Redknapp’s defense, the lad is aging so it’s plausible to make claims as such as this and not get assailed. But c’mon Alexis really? what have you done in your sub-par career to be mentioned with these two GOAT? You need to shut your mouth and help Arsenal win the elusive Premier League title.

Redknapp did however continued his praise for the Real Madrid forward.
“Bale has everything.”
“He’s great in the air, is strong, can run long distances and has a venomous shot.”
“When Gareth joined Real Madrid, I said I he was behind Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, but now all he has to do is claim his place at the top.”
