Gerard Pique trolls Arsene Wenger after Piers Morgan begs him to join Arsenal
Arsenal's high-profile search for a quality center-back has reached its lowest point yet. With rumors that Shkodran Mustafi's asking-price is too high, and that even Jonny Evans has a £25m price tag, Gooners are getting desperate. Barcelona defender Gerard Pique was having a Twitter Q&A when famed troll and Arsenal fan Piers Morgan jumped in with a half-hearted attempt to convince the former Manchester United man to make his way on over the Emirates.
Pique, a top-notch troll in his own right, had his answer hot and ready for Piers.
We're only two matches into the new season, but there's a palpable sense of desperation and sadness around the Arsenal fanbase. Piers Morgan may be a troll, but he's captured the essence of many supporters' feelings: The Gunners need help, and they need it now. There's still a week left in the transfer window to make moves, but time and options are quickly running thin.
At this point, all Arsenal fans can really do is wait for better days, and get these jokes off in the meantime.
