Italy will host Germany at a friendly on Tuesday at San Siro in Milan.
Italy is coming off a 4–0 win over Liechtenstein in a World Cup qualifier. Andrea Belotti scored twice for the victors, who also received goals from Ciro Immobile and Antonio Candreva.
Italy is currently in second in Group G of UEFA's World Cup qualifying for 2018. The Azzurri are level on points with Spain at 10 points, but trail on goal difference.
Germany enters Tuesday's friendly after pasting San Marino 8–0 in a World Cup qualifier. Serge Gnabry scored a hat-trick and Jonas Hector scored twice, while Sami Khedira and Kevin Volland also scored. The team also earned an own–goal courtesy of San Marino's Mattia Stefanelli.
The defending World Cup champions are on top of Group C with 12 points.
