Hugo Lloris Fit to Travel with Tottenham against Stoke City
Tottenham will have their captain Hugo Lloris join the team this Saturday.
Leading up to Tottenham’s trip to bet365 stadium when they take on Stoke City, Spurs will be getting a major boost to their team.
Hugo Lloris is now fit after suffering a hamstring injury against Everton and missing games against Crystal Palace and Liverpool.
Staying at Hotspur Way to continue rehabbing from his injury and not joining France during the international break, was a good decision.
“Hugo is good,” Pochettino said (via ESPN FC).
“The last two weeks he has trained very well. He is ready and available for Saturday.”
The French shot-stopper may be fit enough to travel with Spurs and is available, but because Michel Vorm has played well in three games (two starts) there should be no rush in getting Lloris back into the starting lineup as soon as possible.
An initial diagnosis of Hugo Lloris’ hamstring injury was supposed to keep him out for four weeks. After Stoke, there’s a quick turnaround against AS Monaco in the Champions League on August 14th.
It’s possible that Lloris could start in the Champions League, then again so could Vorm.
Other than the French international being fully fit, Michel Vorm has done nothing wrong to suggest that he should be dropped as a starter.
On the depth chart, the Dutchman is listed as a backup but has done well this season so unless his form drops, Pochettino should handle this position by going with the hot hand.
And right now, the 32-year-old Vorm is riding a good streak so far.

Elsewhere on Spurs’ injury news, Mauricio Pochettino has just confirmed that Danny Rose will indeed miss the game against Stoke City and possibly Monaco.
“He feels very disappointed to get an injury with the national team,” Pochettino said.
“I hope it’s not a big, big problem and we hope he recovers as soon as possible. He’s out for Stoke, and maybe Monaco too.”
Ben Davies will get the start this Saturday and can do a good job in Rose’s absence.
The entire backline shouldn’t suffer after Danny Rose got injured, though it make things slightly challenging with the Champions League approaching.
Spurs’ 25-man squad for the Champions League was announced five days ago and Pochettino expects to get the most of it.
With the Premier League returning in two days, the Argentine manager isn’t looking to rest his starters in order to get ready for Spurs’ return to Europe’s elite club competition.
The priority is the Premiership and to challenge for the league title, but every competition is important to Tottenham.
“Now we start Saturday, seven games in 20 days,” Mauricio Pochettino added.
“Until Christmas it’s a crazy schedule but I’m sure we will play different names in different positions, and rotate the squad.”
“All players have the chance to play and show their qualities.”
“The most important game is Saturday against Stoke. We don’t change because Wednesday is another important game. The Stoke game is the most important.”
“At Tottenham we have a squad to compete in every competition and it’s important to keep the level. For instance, Sissoko can help us to compete in all competitions with the same guarantee.”
