Jiangsu Suning Football Club scores with new deal
Chinese club Jiangsu Suning have announced that telephone manufacturer Nubia will become the club’s major sponsor.
In a deal reported to be worth US$23 million, Nubia will be the Chinese Super League (CSL) club’s shirt sponsor throughout the coming season.
Jiangsu Suning have also agreed to work with Nubia on other areas of marketing which will range from football development, brand promotion, and new product launches. One such product will be the launch of a smartphone that will be targeted at fans of the club.Ni Fei, senior vice president of Nubia, said the two sides agreed the global strategic partnership at the beginning of this year, according to Yutang Sports.
Jiangsu Suning made headlines around the world at the start of February when they paid US$50million for Brazilian striker Alex Teixeira.
