Jose Mourinho says Manchester United will make final signing (Paul Pogba) by next week
Jose Mourinho has been very open about his transfer plans including one more player. And the rumors of Paul Pogba's move to Manchester United have only picked up steam, making it seem like a near certainty that the midfielder will join Mourinho's Red Devils. But Mourinho has been careful not to drop any hints.
"Pogba is a Juventus player until officially he isn't," said Mourinho. "It stays like this."
But Mourinho didn't stop talking there. He put a date on when the team is trying to wrap up their transfer business for the summer -- the end of next week.
"Honestly, the market closes on Aug. 31, but I think my club is trying to do everything to close our market before August 14. So hopefully be next week we will have our squad closed."
So Pogba is not a Manchester United player ... yet. But Mourinho is definitely signing one more player, Pogba hasn't reported to Juventus preseason yet and the Red Devils will make their final signing by the end of next week. It's all coming together rather neatly.
