Juventus sign Brazil defender Alex Sandro from Porto

TURIN, Italy -- Juventus has signed Brazil left back Alex Sandro from Porto for 26 million euros ($29 million).
Porto confirmed the deal on Thursday after Alex Sandro completed a morning medical at Juventus, after flying to Turin on Wednesday night.
Alex Sandro joined Porto in 2011 and scored three goals in 137 appearances. His contract was due to expire next June.

The 24-year-old, who has reportedly signed a five-year contract with Juventus, has made six appearances for Brazil.
Juventus is bidding for a record-equaling fifth successive league title when Serie A starts again this weekend.
The Italian club narrowly missed out on a treble last season, winning the Italian league and cup but losing in the Champions League final to Barcelona.
