Klopp confirms Mignolet, Lovren will return against Leicester

Simon Mignolet and Dejan Lovren will be available for Liverpool against Leicester City on Boxing Day, manager Jurgen Klopp has confirmed.

Lovren has missed just one game - the 3-0 defeat at Watford last weekend - since being injured in a tackle with Craig Gardner in the 2-2 draw at West Brom, while Mignolet was a last-minute absentee with a hamstring strain at Vicarage Road, where Adam Bogdan stood in.

Martin Skrtel will be out for around six weeks with a hamstring injury sustained in the first half of that game, while England international James Milner remains at least a week away from full fitness.

Jordan Rossiter has also been added to the injury list for the Leicester game as he recovers from a hamstring injury.

"Martin Skrtel is not too good," confirmed Klopp. "It's a hamstring, he needs time but we don't know how long.

"Dejan Lovren is back in training and trained the last two days in a row so he is available. (Simon) Mignolet is training but (James) Milner has no chance. We have to wait one or two weeks.

"I want to change the center-backs sometimes because I want to, not because I have to. But we have had problems with injuries there."

Klopp was cautious when responding to questions about Liverpool's transfer bid for Red Star Belgrade midfielder Marko Grujic and does not feel the January transfer window will be a straightforward one to work in.

"There's nothing to tell about [Grujic]," he said. "We try to be prepared all the time but this window in January is not easy.

"Prices are very high. I'm not the biggest friend of the January window."
