Lars Stindl gave this young mascot his kit after leaving him hanging for handshake

Gladbach's Lars Stindl certainly didn't mean to leave this young boy looking for a handshake hanging on Wednesday, but he did. The inadvertent snub made waves around the internet, and it's easy to see why. Here's the exchange:

The poor kid. Not only does he have to sit there looking like a bobblehead with a camera on his hat, but he can't even get dapped up by any of the grown-ups. It wasn't for lack of trying, either. He stuck his tiny paw out there several times to no avail. Eventually, he resigned himself to being ignored.

We all know this feeling.
The good news is that there's a happy ending for the young lad. Gladbach and Stindl pulled some strings to give the kid his very own kit from the 28-year-old midfielder.

Surely there will be a exchange of handshakes along with the gifting of the kit. All's well that ends well!
