Leicester City: Champions League away tickets now on sale
Fans of Leicester City will be excited to know that their tickets for the away games in Group G of the Champions League are now on sale.
Tickets have now gone on sale to season ticket holders exclusively.
Leicester City will be traveling to Porto, Copenhagen and Brugge as they look to conquer Europe’s most prestigious domestic compteittion after winning the Premier League.
This will be Leicester City’s first ever European group stage appearance after being knocked out of the UEFA Cup (Now Europa League) by Atletico Madrid in 1997, losing 2 – 0 at Filbert Street.
This time round however, there’s no need for preliminary rounds of qualification as the foxes went into Group G as number 1 seeds, following the rules surrounding the seeding process.
This means that the foxes ended up avoiding powerhouses such as Bayern, Barcelona and Real Madrid as they were all number 1 seeds respectively.
Leicester City will face their first opponent on the 14th of September in Brugge, 1,400 tickets have been made available to traveling fans, priced at £43.
Their second away game will see fans travelling to Copenhagen on the 2nd of November. 1,900 tickets have been allocated to Leicester City fans, priced at £65 per ticket.
Their final away clash is a trip to Estádio do Dragão in Porto on the 7th of December.
A game which will challenge the Premier League champions and potentially make or break their European campaign. The fearless foxes will not be alone in Portugal however.
2,500 tickets have been allocated to the travelling fans, priced at £34.50 per ticket. Surprisingly, the biggest clash of the groups is also the cheapest.
Any fans looking to head out into the continent should be aware that supporters will be required to present their passport and their ticket voucher in order to collect their matchday ticket.
