Leicester City players are thanked with £2 million fleet of luxury sports cars

How do you thank players that beat the odds and became one of the most unlikely winners in Premier League history?

If the players are on Leicester City and you're a rich Thai businessman, you just spend £2 million on a fleet of luxury supercars for the players. Each player on the team that won the Premier League title last season has received a BMW i8, a gift from club chairman and Thai businessman Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha, according to reports.

The BMW i8 is definitely not your average car. It costs a whopping £104,990, can go from zero to 60 mph in about 4.2 seconds and hit speeds of 155mph. Oh, and it also looks pretty sweet with "scissor" doors that hinge up rather than out.

Srivaddhanaprabha initially promised a fleet of £30,000 electric Mercedes-Benz cars in the days after Leicester won the title, making the arrival of the high-priced supercars that much more surprising.

It's been a slow start to the preseason for Leicester City, who have had trouble getting into gear. But maybe the supercar gift will be a boost and help the players get back on track.
