Leicester's Jamie Vardy could face additional suspension for reaction to red card
The last thing Leicester City need in the run to the Premier League title is losing Jamie Vardy for longer than necessary.
In the hotly-contested draw with West Ham on Sunday, Vardy earned himself a second yellow after being called for a dive in the 59th minute.
Vardy, who had already scored for the Foxes, fumed off the pitch and apparently lashed out verbally at referee Jonathan Moss.
The sending-off will already eliminate Vardy from Leicester's next match, at home against Swansea. But if Moss includes Vardy's response to the red card in his report, the Football Association could dole out more punishment.
That might mean missing Leicester's May 1 clash at Manchester United.
Vardy has been arguably one of the best players in the league this season and is nipping at the heels of Harry Kane for the Golden Boot.
The last time Vardy missed a game in the league was, well, never. He was out with injury in January and he missed a few FA Cup matches. But Leicester have never had to play a Premier League game without him this season.
Let's just say Leicester and their fans will be crossing their fingers, hoping Vardy will be back for the United clash.
