Leo Messi's son 'doesn't like football'

His father may well be the greatest soccer player to ever grace this planet, but three-year-old Thiago Messi isn't really about that life. The elder Messi spoke about his son in an interview with Argentine comedy figure Mingo on Telefe's 'Polemica en el bar' and ruined the hopes of everyone placing early prop bets on baby Messi and baby CR7's Ballon d'Or campaigns in 15 years.

"I see that he doesn't like football that much so I leave it," Messi said. "I'm not the type to buy him footballs or force him. [But] Now the club has started something for the children and we'll see if he gets hooked."

But wait! There's still a chance! Messi went on to say his oldest is "very competitive," and "he wants to win at everything. I also like to win so I don't let him. Even when we climb the stairs and he wins, he makes sure to tell me."

Keep stoking that competitive fire, Leo. Maybe once his legs are long enough, nutmeg him a couple times in the house so he gets bitten by the football bug. Do it for the rest of us.
