Liverpool reaches League Cup semifinals; 17-year-old Ben Woodburn scores
Liverpool is on to the League Cup semifinals after defeating Leeds United 2-0 at Anfield Tuesday, thanks in part to the contributions of 17-year-old Ben Woodburn.
The Welsh forward, who has five goals for Liverpool's Under-23 team, followed Divock Origi's late opener to cap the victory for the Reds and send them to the final four. Woodburn became the youngest scorer in Liverpool history with his right-footed finish from close range, which came off a slick combination and final assist from Georginio Wijnaldum.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp trotted out an experimental lineup, featuring a number of young players. One of them, 18-year-old Trent Alexander-Arnold, whipped in a cross from the right that Origi redirected home for the opener.

Liverpool is looking to add to its record eight League Cup titles. It won its last crown in 2012.
