Man U's Eric Bailly wore jelly shoes to training and got roasted comprehensively for it

Sometimes being fashion-forward requires being brave in your choices and sticking by them no matter what the haters say. Sometimes stepping outside the box makes you a sartorial king. And sometimes, you brick a fit and your friends kindly let you know, "Hey man, this look didn't work. Like, at all."

Eric Bailly's latest footwear choice might just fall into the latter category.

The Ivorian defender's been in sublime form since signing for Manchester United, but that didn't stop his teammates from roasting him all the way to the depths of fashion hell and back for what he chose to rock to training on Tuesday.

Bailly went with a pair of jelly sandals customized with his name, and his team reacted accordingly. Ashley Young was the first one to get to the gram with the jokes, hanging the offending sandals from the locker room ceiling:

Young didn't out his boy, but Juan Mata had no such qualms in making the roast public, and he posted a very necessary close-up shot of the kicks, tagging Bailly in the caption.

We'll let you draw your own conclusions from this. Fashion's different all over the world, so we could give Bailly a pass. Or, you could do the right thing and fry this man accordingly. It's your decision.
