Mariga signs for Inter
McDonald Mariga has joined Inter Milan on a permanent transfer from
Parma after missing out on a move to Manchester City.
The Kenyan midfielder, whose planned switch to City failed to
materialise due to work permit issues, has signed a
four-and-a-half-year contract with the Serie A giants.
A statement from Inter read: "Mariga has signed a contract
until June 30 2014 and will wear the number 17 jersey."
Inter striker Ludovic Biabiany and midfielder Luis Jimenez,
who played on loan at West Ham earlier this campaign,
have moved to Parma for six months, with the option to make
the deals permanent in the summer.
Mariga's signing by Inter came just hours after the club
agreed to allow Brazilian winger Mancini to join AC Milan on a
six-month loan.
Mariga joined Parma on a permanent basis in the summer of
2008 and the 22-year-old has made nine league apperances for Parma
this season.
