Mass brawl breaks out during Aston Villa development game

Aston Villa's season just goes from bad to, well, awful.

Not only do Villa need to win all five games and pray for a minor miracle to avoid relegation from England's top flight this season but their Under 21 side is now in trouble.

Yes, the same U-21 side that thumped the senior team in February.

Villa fans have complained of a distinct lack of fight from their first team this campaign but the same cannot be said about their youngsters it would seem.

West Ham traveled to Villa Park on Monday evening in a development league match and the game erupted into chaos in the final minute as 19-year-old defender Kevin Toner was sent off sparking a mass brawl.

Tempers flared after two robust challenges from the Irishman caused the Hammers players to react badly before Toner saw red for his role in the incident as Villa ran out 3-2 winners on the night.

But hey, at least someone at Aston Villa is showing some fight, right?
