LONDON --

The Football Medical Association says it is ''extremely disappointed'' that Eva Carneiro will not be resuming her full duties as Chelsea's first team doctor.

Carneiro was criticized by manager Jose Mourinho following the club's 2-2 draw at home to Swansea in August.

Mourinho accused his medical staff of being ''naive'' after Carneiro took to the field to treat Eden Hazard with the side down to 10 men following goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois' dismissal.

Carneiro ran on to attend to Hazard, which forced him off the field and left Chelsea with eight outfield players.

Carneiro later had her duties downgraded and was banned from attending matches or training sessions.

The FMA issued a statement Wednesday saying it had been unable to negotiate a ''satisfactory outcome'' with Chelsea and the matter was now in the hands of Chelsea and Carneiro's lawyers.
