Mesut Ozil and Paul Pogba pay for surgeries for children
Germany's Mesut Ozil has a long history of helping those in need, and he continued that tradition on the Euro 2016 platform, along with France's Paul Pogba.
The standout midfielders have banded together to pay for the medical procedures of African children, in conjunction with the Big Shoe11 charity campaign.

"BigShoe helps children," Pogba said in a video on his Twitter account. Ozil echoed the sentiment, saying, "I am happy to be part of it," in a video he posted.
In total, the pair sponsored 22 surgeries -- 11 each, the same number of players a traditional soccer team fields. "I have already helped a lot of children in the past and that's what I will do in the future, too," Ozil said.

So far, all 22 life-changing surgeries have been successful, but the work doesn't stop there. The charity aims to have 11 total players in total sponsor their own 11 children. With Ozil and Pogba leading the way, they're off to a terrific start.
