Mexes scores winner as AC Milan defeat rival Internazionale

SHENZHEN, China --

Philippe Mexes scored the only goal an hour in as AC Milan beat Inter Milan 1-0 in the International Champions Cup at Longgang Stadium on Saturday.

Mexes' spectacular right-footed volley from outside the box off a corner kick by Giacomo Bonaventura found the top left corner.

AC Milan and Inter are playing in the inaugural Chinese zone of the International Champions Cup. Real Madrid faces Inter in Guangzhou on Monday.
