Newcastle will honor the late Bobby Robson with a statue that will be unveiled at St. James' Park next week.

The 9 1/2-foot bronze statue has been commissioned by the Premier League club to celebrate Robson's five-year reign as manager from 1999-2004.

It will be unveiled before the Premier League match against Manchester City on May 6, when Robson's wife, Elsie, and her family will be in attendance.

Robson, who coached England to the 1990 World Cup semifinals and also had spells in charge of PSV Eindhoven, Sporting Lisbon, Porto and Barcelona, died in 2009 after a battle with cancer.
