One Direction's Louis Tomlinson has another project on the books — designing Doncaster Rovers' new away kit.

The boy-band star posted on Twitter that he and his grandfather won a contest to get a chance to design the new jersey.

To the surprise of no one, fans are furious, claiming the contest was rigged.

Doncaster Rovers Facebook fan group administrator Neil Taylor told ITV he was "absolutely livid" with the choice.

"I have nothing against Louis Tomlinson, I'm sure he's a nice lad," Taylor said. "My issue is with the club, it's them who fixed it."

Doncaster Rovers responded with a statement insisting that the competition was fair.

Tomlinson is a big Doncaster fan. He even played for the club's reserve side in 2014 and brought 5,000 fans, mostly female, to the game. For context, reserve games usually attract closer to 100 fans.

Can't say we blame Doncaster for the pick. The jersey design though? Louis, we expected more from you.
