Porto's Mexicans had a day as Tecatito, Layun scored to advance in Champions League
Porto has become quite the home for Mexicans, with the Portuguese club buying Miguel Layun this summer to join captain Hector Herrera, Diego Reyes and Jesus "Tecatito" Corona. And on Tuesday in the second leg of Porto's UEFA Champions League playoff, the Mexicans came through for the club.
Herrera pulled on the armband and manned the midfield, then Layun found the back of the net.

That put Porto up 3-1 on aggregate, plus Roma were down to nine mine, so they were sitting pretty. But Tecatito got in on the action by undressing the Roma defense all by himself.

Now Porto are into the group stage of the Champions League and with six points from two matches, are top of the Primeira Liga. That's with Herrera as captain, Tecatito set for a major breakout season and Layun settling in well. Reyes may be sold, but it looks like a bright season on tap for Porto and at least three Mexicans.
