Updated Mar. 4, 2020 6:26 p.m. ET

UK pay-television channel Premier Sports has won exclusive broadcasting rights for international friendlies involving the national teams of both Scotland and Wales in the run-up to the 2016 Uefa European Championships.

Scotland, who failed to qualify for the tournament, will play Italy, Czech Republic and hosts France in a trio of friendlies in March, May and June.

Wales, who qualified for a major tournament for the first time since 1958, will play fellow Euro 2016 finalists Sweden on Saturday 5th June.

All four games will be broadcast exclusively on Premier Sports, while three friendlies involving Republic of Ireland will also be shown on the channel as part of a long-running deal with the Football Association of Ireland (FAI).

Premier Sports operations director Richard Webb said: “We are thrilled to be able to announce some really intriguing international fixtures live on our channel in the build-up to Euro 2016.

“Wales’ trip to Stockholm will be fascinating on a number of levels. It is the last game before both teams depart for France and the Welsh nation will be in a frenzy of excitement ahead of their first appearance at a major championship since 1958.”
