PSG beats Guingamp 4-2 to reach last 16 of French Cup
PARIS (AP) Defending champion Paris Saint-Germain reached the last 16 of the French Cup with a 4-2 home win against Guingamp on Wednesday.
PSG dominated on set pieces, with midfielder Adrien Rabiot heading home a corner from the right in the 21st minute and Guingamp midfielder Lucas Deaux scoring an own goal from winger Angel Di Maria's free kick from the left four minutes later.
Forward Marcus Thuram - the son of former France defender Lilian Thuram - pulled a goal back from the penalty spot in the 33rd.
Midfielder Javier Pastore restored PSG's two-goal lead when he headed in Julian Draxler's cross in the 64th, only for Guingamp midfielder Yeni Ngbakoto - also from the spot - to make it 3-2 in the 75th to ensure a nervy finish.
But Brazil defender Marquinhos scored a downward header following a corner from the left in the 89th to ensure there would be no upset.

LYON WINS AGAIN
Lyon followed up its 2-1 win at home to PSG in the French league last Sunday with a 3-2 win away to Monaco.
Things started well for Monaco when forward Stevan Jovetic headed in Fabinho's free kick in the 14th minute. It was short-livedm though, as Lyon winger Bertrand Traore ran onto a headed flick from Dutch defender Kenny Tete and finished confidently in the 22nd.
Just four minutes later, Traore was involved in Lyon's second goal.
His pass found Netherlands forward Memphis Depay - the scorer of Lyon's last-gasp winner against PSG - lurking on the left of the penalty area and his shot crashed back off the crossbar. Striker Mariano Diaz scrapped for the ensuing loose ball with Monaco and France right back Djibril Sidibe, who inadvertently poked the ball into his own net from close range as he tried to pressure Diaz.
Diaz then rose to powerfully head in Traore's cross from the left to round off a fine team passing move in the 55th.
After midfielder Rony Lopes replied for Monaco in the 72nd, center half Kamil Glik saw his powerful header thud off the crossbar in injury time as Monaco went close to forcing extra time.
