Newcastle United travel down to London to play Queens Park Rangers on Tuesday evening.

The Magpies have won their last four fixtures without conceding any goals and will be confident of securing a result.

After dispatching Derby County 2-0 on Saturday, Rafa Benitez’s men are now looking like a force to be reckoned with.

A disappointing start to the season hasn’t permeated through to the rest of August and September – and the Magpies are looking like a confident outfit.

Striker Dwight Gayle has hit the back of the net four times in five fixtures so far this campaign, while Chancel Mbemba has been solid at the back.

So click through the following slides to read about the key areas in which the fixture on Tuesday will be decided.

Newcastle United spent a lot of money to bring striker Dwight Gayle from Crystal Palace and convince him to drop down to the Championship.

And so far that invest is being repaid well – Gayle is currently the Magpies’ leading goalscorer with four in five games.

Trying to stop him with be former Tottenham Hotspur defender Steven Caulker, who has also begun the season well according to WhoScored.com.

Caulker has had an interesting career to date, but will be keen to show that he can handle a good striker in top form.

Tjaronn Chery

New Newcastle United captain Jamaal Lascelles has had a slightly mixed start to the season and was even dropped after two games.

However, Rafa Benitez has returned the youngster to the starting line up – and has been rewarded with excellent performances.

Queens Park Rangers attacker Tjaronn Chery has also begun to campaign well and how Lascelles looks after the Dutchman will go a long way to deciding the outcome of the game.

With four goals in six games so far, Chery knows where the net is and has troubled defenses before.

Former Hull City man Mohamed Diame has been in good form since he arrived at Newcastle United, but you sense there is more to come from him.

The 29-year-old has one assist to his name – and it was a fabulous, defense splitting long range pass right to the feet of Dwight Gayle.

He can also hit the back of the net and 10 goals for the Tigers last season shows he isn’t nervous about pulling the trigger.

If Diame can get up to speed on Tuesday he will be a massive asset for the Magpies and a horrible player to mark.
