Radamel Falcao is scoring goals for AS Monaco again
When we saw Radamel Falcao last season, the Colombian was largely toiling away on the Chelsea bench during a feckless loan spell away from Monaco. The good news for the 30-year-old is he looks to be regaining at least a modicum of the confidence that made him one of the world's most feared strikers a few years ago.
Now back with Monaco and enjoying the pace of preseason, Falcao is showing that he's not a complete afterthought. He's scored four goals in four games, including a double against Sporting Lisbon and a header on Tuesday against Zenit.
Yes, it's just preseason and that is important context, but the last time Falcao found the back of the net was August 29 of last year. In that same forgettable season he also found himself injured and dropped from Chelsea's Champions League squad in favor of Alexandre Pato.

Pretty much anything even remotely positive is a big deal for Falcao at this point. Finding a scoring touch, even if just in preseason, is a welcome sight. We don't expect any Premier League clubs will be lining up to take him off Monaco's hands quite yet, though.
