Raheem Sterling is struggling to sell this $1.7 million mansion
Manchester City attacker Raheem Sterling is having some trouble selling his highly customized Merseyside home. The footballer's four-bedroom, four-bathroom home has been on the market since last summer after Sterling's transfer from Liverpool to Man City. Sterling initially listed the home at 1.5 million pounds ($2.14 million), but after watching the mansion sit on the market for eight months, Sterling slashed the price by 300,000 pounds ($428,320).
The home has some pretty cool features, including a pond, indoor pool and hot tub, huge home gym and a fully equipped movie room. Sterling also made a mistake common to many young homeowners with way too much money on their hands; he personalized his pad with some very odd features. Sterling's former mansion boasts a room dedicated to Michael Jackson, and it's possible those disembodied dancing legs are a little off-putting for buyers.
There is also this black-and-white kitchen with red under-cabinet lights reminiscent of the floor exit lights found in the aisles of many airplanes. It is unknown whether the American Eagle bag on the counter comes with the home.
No mansion is complete without a barber's room, because who wants to have to leave the house for a haircut?
Anyone with children might like this room outfitted for a little girl. Families with boys only or no children might not be as much of a fan, but renovations are always a possibility.
But while the interior might need some remodeling, it has to be hard to complain when the prospective homeowner could take a break from the construction and relax by this pond outside.
