Italian broadcasters Rai and Sky Italia are to share coverage of this summer’s Uefa Euro 2016 tournament.

Public-service network Rai will air 27 of the 51 scheduled games on an exclusive, free-to-air basis, according to the Calcio e Finanza website, which cites director general Antonio Campo Dall’Orto.

The Calcio e Finanza report says the network originally offered €54 million for 23 games, but has ended up agreeing its 27-game deal for ‘close to €70 million’.

The terms of Sky’s deal and its planned coverage are not available.
