Ronaldinho hasn't played with a club since last September and he's 36 years old -- but he's still Ronaldinho and that means teams still want him.
The former Barcelona star said this week he is looking for one final move to cap off his career and has offers to play in the United States that he is considering. His comments back up statements from his brother/agent earlier this year that Ronaldinho will either finish his career in MLS or the Chinese Super League.
"The idea is to play one more," Ronaldinho told Sport in Catalan this week. "I'm immersed in new projects, related with music and football which, as you know, are my two passions. I'm looking at new things which I've always liked and we'll see what we do this year."
Ronaldinho said he has the option of playing in the U.S., but he also said he is looking for an adventure that combines soccer and music.
"I've had the chance to play (in the U.S.) many times. I have a lot of friends, many directors at clubs," he said. "And now I've got the chance to play here again. It's an option, but what I most want is to have the chance to travel, to promote the things I want to do."
"We will see. In any case, whatever I choose this year must be compatible with all my interests."
Ronaldinho hasn't played since he left Fluminense last year, a stint that didn't go well and his contract was terminated when he felt like he couldn't perform as expected. Before that, he struggled with fitness in the early goings at Queretaro, but went on to make 25 appearances for the club as it made the Liga MX playoffs.
He has kept busy without a club though and recently helped Barcelona open their New York City office as an "ambassador" for the club.
