Ronaldo didn't donate $8 million to Nepal relief -- but then, he never said he did
Now the Internet headlines are reporting that soccer superstar Cristiano Ronaldo did not donate $8 million to relief for victims of the devastating Nepal earthquakes last month.
That doesn't seem fair, though.
Ronaldo himself apparently never said he had made such a donation, but that's what was reported by a French website.
What Ronaldo actually had done was continue in his role as an ambassador for Save the Children, urging others to contribute to Nepal relief.

Save the Children set the record straight, also saying: "The global ambassador for Save the Children, Cristiano Ronaldo, has used his voice and his global visibility to raise awareness of the problems that the most vulnerable children around the world, including those affected by the earthquake in Nepal face."
Ronaldo, 30, reportedly makes $80 million per year between his salary for Real Madrid and endorsements.
