Schalke scored 3 goals in 6 minutes to more than double their season's goal total
Schalke entered Sunday winless and bottom of the Bundesliga table. That was due largely in part to an attack that had mustered just two goals in five matches. To put it nicely, their attack was awful.
52 minutes into their match against Borussia Monchengladbach, it looked like more of the same. But then...
That's right, three goals in six minutes, which is more goals than they had scored in the 501 previous minutes they'd played in the Bundesliga this season.
More than doubling your season's goal total in six minutes isn't a bad bit of business.
With the win, Schalke moved out of the Bundesliga basement. Now they're only third from the bottom, which, considering how their season started and how they've played, isn't too bad. They're moving in the right direction for the first time all year, thanks to six wonderful minutes.
