Sevilla dial in ZTE smartphone partnership
Spanish club Sevilla have announced ZTE Mobile Devices as their official smartphone partner.
Under the deal, the Chinese company will advertise inside the La Liga side’s Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán Stadium, while the two parties will collaborate on ‘several events throughout the season to engage with fans’, according to an official release.
Shenzhen-based ZTE, which last week partnered with Jiangsu Suning FC of the Chinese Super League (CSL), will also run competitions for Sevilla fans throughout the course of the partnership.
Financial terms of the deal have not been disclosed.
“On behalf of Sevilla FC, I am very pleased and honoured to cooperate with one of the leading technology companies in the world,” said Jose Castro Carmona, the chairman of Sevilla.
"I am convinced that this partnership will be tremendously beneficial for both parties, for our fans and the consumers all over the world.”
The new deal comes as part of ZTE’s global growth strategy, with the company planning to expand its network of overseas stores from 30,000 to 50,000 by the end of this year.
