The only thing better than San Marino's rare goal was the reaction of these TV pundits
You’d be hard-pressed to find a national team more harmless than San Marino.
Since joining FIFA in 1990, San Marino have never recorded a win in a World Cup or Euro qualifier, and scored just 16 goals in such games - in 26 years. Since 2008, they've only found the net three times.
Basically, whenever San Marino do happen to score it’s a little bit of a miracle. For the team that gets scored on, however, it’s nothing short of a sporting catastrophe.
So when Norway conceded a goal that actually tied the game in their World Cup qualifier on Tuesday, the reaction by the TV pundits in Oslo was predictably hysterical. And hilarious. So, so hilarious.

THEY LITERALLY TURNED THE LIGHTS OFF IN THE STUDIO.
Could you imagine if San Marino ever actually beat a team in a game that mattered? Picture the complete and utter desolation on the other side. If there is a God, he will make it happen one day. It might not be this cycle, or even ten World Cups from now. But when it happens, I want to bear witness. I want to see an entire country self-combust because San Marino beat them.
